My journey as a photographer began at age 9--with a Polaroid Model 125. That was in 1966. By 1970, I had moved "up" to 35mm with the venerable Argus C3--what an amazing brick--especially when combined with Pan-X film souped in Microdol.

Through the years photography has been a consistent avocation, and at times a professional endeavor. Although I have a solid Canon A-1 kit, I hardly ever use 35mm film anymore--preferring medium format with the Mamiya RB67 Pro kit and BW film. Hurray for Ilford There is also a Yashica 124 TLR in the regular MF lineup, a great camera for street photography. I sometimes use LF 4x5 as part of my kit, primarily for architectural documentation or creative work.

Digital has finally found a solid place, with my trusty Nikon D7100 and a stable of Sigma and Nikkor lenses. But I still love wet chemistry black and white--where I control the process in a traditional way. Currently I live in the Finger Lakes Region of New York with my wife Donna, a houseful of four-legged critters, and spend time exploring the world with my 12 year old grandson--who enjoys photography too!
